Giorgia Whigham is an American actress. She was born on August 19, 1997. Giorgia is best known for her portrayal of Kat in the very first season of Netflix's American teen drama television series 13 reasons why which centers around high school student Clay Jensen and the aftermath of a fellow high school student Hannah Baker's sudden suicide. The series ran for four seasons from March 31, 2017, until June 5, 2020.

Giorgia also starred in the second season of The Punisher (An American television series based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name), which premiered on Netflix in 2019. Giorgia starred as Amy Bendix, one of the main cast members. 

She also appeared as Ghostface (Beth Thomson in the third season of Scream (Which aired on VH1 and followed the story of the popular film series Scream).


Life before fame:

Giorgia Whigham was born and raised in New York City, where she is still living to this day.  She attended Charter High School of the Arts, which she graduated from. Her father is Shea Whigham (An American actor who has appeared as Elias "Eli" Thompson in the popular drama series Boardwalk Empire. He was also seen in the first season of True Detective, as well as appearing in Fargo and Joker.).

Giorgia got her breakout role when she was cast in the 2016 short film Pinky, alongside fellow actress Ellery Sprayberry. Giorgia landed the role after the casting director saw her audition tape and quickly contacted the young actress to offer her the role stating that she fit the character perfectly. Following her initial debut, Giorgia received a considerable amount of other role offers, and it wasn't long before the actress appeared in such TV shows as Shameless (Where she played Toria in the episode "Pimp's Paradise"), Son of Zorn (Portraying Shannon in the episodes "Return of the Drinking Buddy," "All Hail Son of Zorn," and "Defender of Teen Love" during 2016-2017), The Legend of Master Legend (Playing Ashleigh), 13 Reasons Why (portraying Kat in the episodes "Tape 1, Side", and "Tape 7, Side A", Chance (Playing Pepper in the episode "A Very Special Union," "The Coping Mechanism," and "The Filtcraft Parable".

She was also seen as Lysella in the popular sci-fi series The Orville in the episode "Majority Rule".

Her family:

Giorgia has a younger brother with whom she grew up together, and her mother's name is Stine Whigham. Giorgia had stated that her father was the one who got her into acting, but her mother was the one who really supported her throughout her career and was there for the young actress when she needed it. Her parents have been a major shoulder to lean on during the harder parts of her career.
