Amalia Williamson is a Canadian actress. She was born on June 2, 1999, and is probably best known for her recurring role as Maddie West in the 2019 television series Northern Rescue (A Netflix exclusive TV series that premiered on March 1, 2019, and focused on the husband of a recently deceased wife, after the husband moves to a small city located in the north of Canada with his three children, where they try to take control of a local search-and-rescue service).

Amalia also had a prominent role in the 2018 film Level 16 where she appeared as Rita. She has also starred in the film Playing Dead where she received critical appraisal for her portrayal of Emily.


How was her life before finding fame:

She was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario. 

Amalia has also had a passion for writing and directing her whole life. After years of going back and forth with her parents to allow her to pursue a career in acting, her parents finally gave in and allowed her to do so. After Amalia signed with Ambition Talent to kickstart her career, she was quickly cast in the pilot of the television series Playing Dead.

Amalia Williamson was a very talented girl when growing up and frequently appeared in various plays at her local school theatre class. It wasn't long before she knew that she wanted to become an actress and took up acting classes. After graduating from school, the talented actress-to-be got her first role when she was casting as Amalia in the 2015 short film Punctual Condolence. After her first role, she quickly garnered the attention of other directors and was cast in several other short films throughout the next three years. 

Amalia has stated that she loves to play roles that are associated with a big family and that "family drama" series are among her favorite genres to act in, which is what drew the actress's attention towards appearing in her most notable role in the television series Northern Rescue. She has stated that big families tend to have a lot of drama but also feature a lot of love, which is one of the key aspects that she likes to act the part of. 

Amalia is currently still enrolled in the Bachelor of Film, as well as a television program at the prestigious Sheridan College. She has recently graduated from Armstrong Acting Studios, and Amalia is excited about writing and directing another short film in the near future.


 Amalia has made several short films in the past where she served as both a director as well as appearing in one of the roles. She has made such short films as Daughter, Blue Light, Rosie, and a documentary titled Modern Dat Magick.


Associations and relationships:

Amalia has starred alongside such established actors as William Baldwin, Spencer MacPherson, and Kathleen Robertson, where they've shared the screen on Northern Rescue.

Williamson hasn't made public the status of her relationship, meaning that she likely likes to keep things private.

She currently has over 25,000 followers on her Instagram account, where she often posts pictures of herself.
